Understand what you are actually doing on the mat
Nine hours across nine modules on alignment, the pose categories, pranayama and meditation. Taught by Karina Guthrie, the teacher who trains our teachers.

Class time runs out before the explanation does
Every teacher has had the moment. Someone asks a genuinely good question about what a twist is doing, or why one hip keeps lifting, and there are eleven minutes left and a room full of people waiting. So the answer gets compressed into a sentence and the class moves on.
This course is where the long version lives. Karina works through every pose category in turn, introducing what it does energetically and physically, breaking the poses down with specific alignment detail, then flowing them back together so you can feel how it fits. Then it goes past the physical entirely, into breath and meditation.
It is not a replacement for your classes. It is the reason they start landing differently.
For context, a one-hour private session with a Flolo teacher is $150. This is nine hours with the teacher who trains them, for less than the price of two.
Nine modules, in order
Modules unlock as you go, so it runs as a progression rather than a library you dip into. Six work through the pose categories one at a time. The last three go beyond the physical.
- 1
Principles & Sun Salutations
The overarching principles and definitions of yoga that give context to the physical practice, then Surya Namaskar A and B workshopped pose by pose, closing with a short flow that puts it together.
- 2
Forward Folds
The energetic and physical components of forward folding, the most common poses broken down with specific alignment detail, then combined into a flowing sequence.
- 3
Twists
What twisting does energetically and physically, the common twisting poses in alignment detail, then a short flow built from them.
- 4
Backbends
Back-bending poses broken down with specific alignment detail and their energetic components, then sequenced into a flow.
- 5
Laterals
Lateral poses in alignment detail alongside what they do energetically, then combined into a short flowing sequence.
- 6
Inversions & Extensions
The final two pose categories, with alignment and modification detail for inversion and extension poses before flowing them together.
- 7
Pranayama
Beyond asana entirely. Three guided breathing practices that move energy in different ways: Three Part Yogic Breath, Nadi Shodhana and Sama Vritti.
- 8
Meditation
Three guided meditation practices with an introduction to the technique behind them: Apana Vayu Kriya, Vyana Vayu Kriya and Mindfulness Meditation.
- 9
The Full Practice
A full-length flow combining the asana, pranayama and meditation from every module, the way it would come together in a studio class.
