Father's Day: Gift Dad a Free Class

Gift Dad a free class

Give Dad something better than socks this year. For Father's Day we are letting you gift a free class to any dad in your life, valid for any class at any of our three studios on Sunday 6 September.

Fill in your details and his, add a note if you like and the pass lands in his inbox. He then books whichever Sunday class suits: Stretch Yoga, Slow Flow, Yin, Align Pilates, whatever he is curious about. No membership needed and nothing to pay.

The pass is good for one class on Father's Day only and expires 7 days after it is sent, so send it this week.

Snakes & Ladders: The Flolo Spring Challenge

A month-long game, played by practising

For the whole of September the studio is a game board. Every class you attend ticks off a task and moves your token. Ladders carry you up, snakes send you back and everyone who reaches the finish by 30 September wins a prize.

Game sheets, tokens and the full task list are at all three studios. Ask the team in studio for the details.

The Flolo Snakes and Ladders board: 25 squares with three ladders and two snakes, next to the task list of classes and challenges that move you around it.
Boards and tokens are at all three studios from 1 September.

Bonus Class: Animal Flow

with Gee Tual · A 90 minute bonus class

Animal Flow is bodyweight movement done low to the ground: crawls, travelling forms, transitions and holds that borrow from the way animals move. Expect to build strength, mobility and coordination at the same time, with your hands on the floor for most of it.

Gee Tual is an Animal Flow Master Instructor, movement therapist and educator with more than 15 years in the fitness and movement industry. He presents at conferences and events internationally on movement, anatomy, pain and foot function. He also teaches Animal Flow workshops across Australia and overseas.

Passionate about the connection between strength, mobility, coordination and play, Gee helps people explore what their bodies are capable of through intelligent, challenging and fun movement. This one runs for 90 minutes so there is room to learn the base positions properly, string them into flows and play. It suits anyone who likes the physical end of the timetable, from Dynamic Yoga and Power Pilates regulars to people who train in the gym and want to move better. There are 20 spots.

Unlike our workshops, bonus classes are booked like any other class. Use your current membership, or pay the casual rate of $35 if you do not have one.

Yin & Sound

with Eva Michelle · Deep Rest & Live Soundscape

This experience is less about doing and more about resting in a cocoon of support and letting yourself just be. Move through slow, deeply supported yin shapes with plenty of space to pause, soften or simply lie still.

Eva guides your yin practice while building a live soundscape around you, using layered vocals, sound bowls, chimes and rhythm, starting simply and gradually expanding into something immersive and enveloping.

Drop into a quiet state where your nervous system feels regulated, where you sleep better and where your mind can experience some much needed calm. Comfy clothes encouraged.

Yoga Study Group

with Jesska Leroy · The ideas behind the practice

Yoga is far more than what happens on the mat. This is a space to explore the ideas, texts and philosophy that inform the way we practise: where it all came from, what it actually says and how any of it lands in an ordinary week.

Expect reading, discussion and questions rather than a led class. No prior study needed, only curiosity about why we practise the way we do.

Dates and format are still being set. Join the waitlist to hear first when the group starts.
