Our Story

Movement for every body.
Community for everyone.

Three studios across the Gold Coast. 140+ classes every week. One simple belief, that movement should feel good, and everyone deserves a place to call home.

Our Mission

Our mission at Flolo is to create exceptional movement experiences in spaces where everyone feels genuinely welcome. Whether it's your first class or your thousandth, we're committed to delivering yoga and Pilates to you with warmth, skill, and intention, supporting you at every stage of your movement journey.

We believe exceptional classes are shaped by teachers who honour their individual strengths and passions, while remaining grounded in a deep understanding of the context, foundations and principles of their discipline. Our culture and systems are built to reflect this, and are designed with you in mind, to ensure the spaces we create are memorable for both their heart and their quality.

A message from Nalini

Hear it in her own words

What Flolo is, why it exists, and what she hopes every person feels when they walk through the door.

From Floating Lotus to Flolo

Flolo started life as Floating Lotus, a single yoga studio on the northern Gold Coast, built on the belief that great movement shouldn't cost a fortune, and that you don't need to already be flexible before you walk in the door.

For seven years, that studio quietly became something special. Not because of what was on the timetable, but because of what happened in the room, the connections made, the bodies healed, the minds settled. A community formed, class by class, that showed up for each other in ways that had nothing to do with yoga poses.

When the time came to evolve, the name changed. The studios grew to three. But everything that had made Floating Lotus worth coming back to, the warmth, the welcome, the genuine care for every single person, stayed exactly the same. That's still what Flolo is built on today.

Meet Nalini

Nalini Tebbey has been teaching yoga for over 10 years and Pilates since 2021. What started as a way to move her body grew into a lifelong passion, and eventually into a studio, a community, and a place that thousands of Gold Coast locals now call their home away from home.

In the studio, Nalini brings a rare blend of mindfulness, playfulness and precision. Her classes move with intention, creative sequences, a strong focus on alignment, and just enough challenge to leave you genuinely stronger without ever losing sight of why you're there.

With a background in business (MBA, RMIT) and over 900 hours of movement training, she brings the same care to running Flolo as she does to teaching, creating a space where the Gold Coast community can move well, connect genuinely, and feel at home in their bodies.

I went to the flow yoga with Nalini and it was absolutely brilliant. She is knowledgeable, her flows are creative and the right balance of strength and relaxation.

Nalini is so warm and approachable and her instructors are so lovely. They always make me feel so welcome and comfortable, allowing me and my body to just be where I am at each time.

Resident teachers across three studios

Every Flolo teacher is hand-picked and continuously trained. Our studio timetable spans yoga, Pilates, barre, yin, meditation, roll & release and more, each class led by a specialist who knows their craft deeply and genuinely loves sharing it.

Continuous education, led by Karina

Unlike most studios where teachers are hired and left to their own devices, Flolo's teaching team is actively mentored and trained on an ongoing basis by Karina. This means the quality of teaching doesn't just stay consistent, it continuously improves. When you take a class at Flolo, you're in the hands of someone who is always learning.

This is who we're here for

These aren't testimonials, they're the reason Flolo exists. Real people, real changes.

After my surgery, the classes really helped with my recovery. The instructors always check in and always offer safe modifications. I love the weekly membership, there's always a class I can make, and I genuinely feel like I get my money's worth.

As someone who has historically had a very problematic relationship with exercise and my body, Flolo has created such a safe and supportive environment. I look forward to continuing on my journey of healing within the warm and welcoming studio.

Being part of the Flolo community has been life changing, physically, mentally and spiritually. Every single class leaves me feeling amazing and every teacher has something different to offer. I'm overflowing with gratitude.

I decided at 65 to try a different way of exercising. What a beautiful, welcoming space I walked into. The teachers welcomed me in. I am hooked. It is an absolute joy to attend my classes. This is not the end, it is the beginning.
